Angling Packages At Hillview B&B – 5 Days (€275 per person)

Arrive at SHANNON AIRPORT. *Shuttle service available to collect anglers and bring them to Hillview. Please reserve in advance.

• Home cooked evening meal for 4 days after a days fishing. All food produced locally.
• Early bird breakfast, complimentary packed lunches and a flask on each of 4 days.
• Transport provided to local pubs for evening entertainment.
• Advice shared about where & when to fish. Transport provided to and from the lakes.
• In addition to being an angling centre, Tulla is a centre for tradititional Irish music and guests will be spoiled for choice during their stay – Wednesday nights: Crusheen, Thursday nights: Peppers or Gort. If you like a quiet night, on Friday night sit and chat with locals for angler’s tales about where to fish – some of the best advice is given there. Saturday and Sunday nights, music in Hassetts Bar with great views of the Burren & Galway Bay – set dancing ,waltzing jiving,  quick step.
• Facilities for anglers include drying shed, laundryservice, bait fridge & freezer.
• Maps & guides available free of charge.
• Join in local club competitions, what ever type of fishing you are interested in.

Traditional Music  – 3 Night Stay (€250)

Day 1, arrive to warm welcome at Hillview. Freshen up and then enjoy a fresh homecooked evening meal, prepared by Patricia, using local produce.

Music this evening at the Highway in Crusheen. Traditional music session – bring your own instrument and join in with the musicians for a tune. They love newcomers and both musicians and singers are always welcome. What better way to get to know the locals.

Day 2, Enjoy a leisurely breakfast

Today, you can choose from some of the area’s many attractions. Depending on your interests, take a leisurely stroll through the countryside or have a more challenging hike along the East Clare waymarked walk.

You may choose to head to the water and take a trip to Holy Island on Lough Derg. Or have a pleasure trip on the Spirit of Killaloe boat excursion.

We recommend dinner tonight at Peppers Bar in Feakle. Afterwards, adjourn to Shorts bar for traditional music session or Henleys in Gort.

Day 3, Patricia’s homecooked breakfast

Consider a chill out day today. Do some sight seeing, enjoy the peace as you explore the area and its many impressive mountains, great views, beautiful waterways, interesting forest trails. You may even meet a deer on your way.

Visit quaint towns & villages with wonderful atmospheres and welcoming people. Tonight, perhaps, music in Rodgers Bar, Scariff  with dancing & singing

Family Breaks at Hillview B&B – Enjoy 3 Night Break (€35 per adult, €20 per child up to 13years old, Under 3′s free)

Day 1 – Greeted on arrival with welcoming cup or tea/coffee, homebakes,  juices & fruit for the children. Dinner this evening in Hillview. All food produced locally. For the grown-ups, traditional music night in The Highway Bar in Crusheen. Transport provided. Babysitting facility available and guaranteed fun – our daughter Aoife is an Irish dancer and loves to display her Irish dancing.

Day 2 – After breakfast, children can join our daughter to feed the animals. She will also give a farm tour, proudly showing off her pet rabbit, the donkeys, horses, cows and young calves. Great fun for children learning close up about nature. In the afternoon, consider going fishing with the family. We recommend an evening meal in Peppers in Feakle.

Day 3 – Explore the area. Maybe do a trip to Holy Island on Lough Derg; go walking in Iniscealtra Park and around Mountshannon Harbour. There’s also a playground in Tulla for the children. We recommend evening meal at Teach Ui Bhriain.

Day 4 – Leisurely breakfast before departing for home with great memories of a family break.

Patricia Halpin and her family’s home is situated in the centre of the East Clare Lakelands and they have been welcoming anglers for many years. Fortunately for visitors, this is also the heartland of traditional music and guests staying at Hillview House may also enjoy evenings in local villages and towns, listening to Irish music and engaging with the local people. Maybe even pick up a fishing tip or two.
